I've had two mesages recntly that have caused my inbox a bit of constipation. I used Mailwasher to access the list of messages and deleted everything I didn't want or recognise.
In the list were some messages from Mudclub. After sorting the problem and everything was downloaded I noticed that the Mud club messages were missing.
I put it down to a senior moment and left it at that.
This morning I had the same problem. I noticed again Mudclub messages and after I downloaded everything they were gone again.
MMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
Check all directories and found them in the deleted messages folder.
Why I wondered.
Message rules, said I.
Couldn't see anyhing obvious.
Checked the text of the messages and recognised something.

I had made a message rule to combat spam. A lot of spam messages contain that phrase.
So beware if you've made the same rule.
