That Series 1 is nive, but I was talking to 'Mr Series 1' himself last night.

Ken Wheelwright, he of multiple vehicles (including the 'DEL boys) & th Leyland Beaver transporter.
He'd brought one of his Tickford Staion Wagons at Thornes Park.

Vistors to Billing, Eastnor, Stoneleigh will undoubtedly haveseen one of his vehicles at some point.

A very nice man indeed.

Very well looked after???

It's a complete restoration from (the correct 'fishplated') chassis upwards, new cab-tmbres.
Ken Wheelwright is a 100% oerfectionist, he doesn't start unless he's got the replacement parts avaialbe (& he's generally got the correct vintage as well!)

I think he's got 6(?) pre-50 Series 1's & his gorgeous Leyland Beaver transporter
