Compard to a Ford 'English' axle the Rover diff is quite straightforward. The pinion is adjsuted with shims and then the crownwheel mesh is adjusted by measuring the backlash at the circumfrence of the crownwheel with a DTI.Perhaps not a job for the fainthearted though, why not buy a S/H one?
