There is actually a lane in Derbys that has cameras that detect anything faster then 5mph and photographs them.

So not so daft as it seems.

Would joggers be a big enough mass to set one off, they will be going above 5..

I'd like to see that camera in action too - where is it Ed?

I can't lay my hands on the details at the moment but if my memory seres me right it's been TRO'd or downgraded to a bridleway and the camera is to catch vehicles using it.

I am sure Simon (SIMDEB) will be along soon (or when they all get back from Billing) with more details.

Like any other single carriageway road the speed limit is 60 mph unless the ends of the lane are onto roads with lower speed limits. I don't know what the speed limit is if the roads at the end have different limits - although trying that speed on most lanes probably counts as careless if not dangerous driving.

GLASS code of conduct used to say 12mph but following closer links with LARA and TRF I think it may have been raised a bit so that all user groups put forward a united front.

there is a green lane in cambridgeshire that has national speedlimit signs at the begining but a visit to the dentist would be needed to put the teeth back in at its end
everything in the path of life becomes clear when you get the wipers working .....................mmmmm then theres the washer bottle motor DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH
