Out & About Sunday 17th July
« on: July 17, 2005, 20:56:43 »
Saturday morning was spent chasing round in the morning for a new TV as the one in the back-parlour had gone critical & wouldn't stop on for more than a few seconds
Got to Curries & fancied one of those mega-sized 32" LCD (or whatever they are), but it had to fit inside an existing cabinet.
So a swipe of the Switch later, & a 28" flat-screen Toshiba was in the Discovery.

The afternoon saw me at Masham Steam Rally, taking loads of photos & wishing I had space for a Burrell, or Fowler.
Some nice motors in the parking-fields (& seen on the way) as stated elsewhere.
Plus a trip to a nice lttle bridge afterwards (at Kilgram), ice-cream &  Boston Spa on the return journey

Sunday morning saw me go to the friends house who I offered to do the favour for (hence missing Billing)
Where were they??
Bl**dy Scarborough, sodding typical
Wait till I see the b*gger!!!

So it was an afternoon trip to 'Ackworth Historic Vehicle & Steam Rally' on the same site as the 'Scammell Gathering'

The 'Foden Society' were having their northern get-together there as well, so loads of trucks to be seen :D  :D  :D
Including a Mack R600(?) & a Freightliner
Plenty of steam as well, Land Rovers, some gorgeous Yanks.

Even a new (& unseen) 50th anniversary Discovery :D

Just going through all photos to pull together another album.

Edit @ 22:10 show photo album up & loaded (Land Rovers are in 'LR Of The UK. 4')
