Personally, I tend to prefer Explorer maps (orange ones) as the byways we can use are alot clearer and it shows field boudaries if you are ever unsure about which side of the hedge you need to be on :? . There is one down side with these, becasue they're the scale is 1:25 as opposed to 1:50 you find yourself having to change from map to map more often which can sometimes be a bit of a pain! I can use Landranger Maps (the pink ones) but out of choice, I tend to use Exporers.
