Well you have been busy with the mods!!  :D

Have a look at this site for Disco tyre fitting options.

Larger tyres do bring one small problem if you go too large (i.e 33" Dia like I have) in that it changes the gearing of the vehicle and it starts to stuggle to get up hills in 5th, 30mph can only be done in 3rd and your speedo reads upto 6mph slow.
You can correct this but it means changing the transfer box to a 1.4 TD5 Defender box (lots of dosh) or changing both front & rear axle diffs to 4.11 ratio (even more dosh!!). The former will only alter the Hi-ratio gearing so your low box will remain slightly over geared where as the latter will do both hi & low. ;)

If your looking at other mods then you may notice with the 2" lift that the vehicle's steering in lighter than before and will tend to "tramline" or follow the lines in the tarmac. This due to the change in the caster angle on the front steering due to the lift.
You can correct this with caster correction radus arms from QT Services or Scorpion Racing.

If your fitting larger Dia tyres then you may want to look at extended chassis bump stops. These stop the tyres hitting the inner wheelarch on full articulation. http://www.paddock-spares.com do these at a reasonable price.
They also do other off-road gear like spring retainers and dislocation cones on there!!

Upto 32" Dia tyres will go on the rear wheel carrier without a problem, any larger than that and it will hit the rear bumper when you shut the rear door. Devon 4x4 do a nice wheel carrier that will take upto 35" tyres on the back door and if your looking to go that large then you may want to look at the wheel arch flares they do as well. Not cheap (over £200 for a set) but they look the mutts whats'its!!    :D

There, that should keep you thinking for a while anyway!!

And here's what I've done to mine....................

so far so good had it on about 4-5 weeks have also got an uprated airflow intercooler with the silicone pipe kit yes very pleased with result so far is not noisy exhaust like a boy racer but it has a loverley note when she under preasure or cruising at about 70 is very quick at moment ive been playing around with the fuel pump but the fuel consuption is far better than i expected especially since i have been driving rather quick latley she pulls up hill from 80mph and keeps pulling away is an auto 4 speed 200tdi  hence the reason for fitting ebc discs and green 6000 series brakes she stops well
regards colin

i have got the Twisted performance uprated intercooler and with the fuel pump tweak it goes a lot better.  Can easily keep up with my v8 buddies until I run out of gears at about 85mph!

The next step I was looking at was the exhaust - I currently have the standard step up with a cat and am looking to change this it has a few pinholes appearing in it which I weld up and it provides a good excuse for buying one!

how much was it ?

Colin,

They are from Devon 4x4, fibreglass arches made by Rangie Spares in Oz but as I said, they ain't cheap!!
The 5 door version is worse to fit than the 3 door cos you have to cut into the inner door frame.
It takes about a day to fit all four and I had it down to 45 minutes by the last one.  :D
They are supplied in black gel-coat and you prime & spray them in the colour you want.

Will you ever, it requires about 3" taken out all round each arch and the removal of the plastic inner arches on the front.
Sorry forgot to put that bit in!!

As Neil says, without cutting anything then 245/75R16 or you could just get away with 31/10.5R15's.

The amount of trimming on the rear arch for the likes of 265/75R16's is on this forum somewhere if you want to go down that route, your not taking that much off.

Even with 2 inch lift you would be best off doing the camel cut to the rear quarter as they will probably catch...if you give some stick over the lumps. You need to alter your gearing as budgie says if you go any bigger than 31, unless you like 40mph up hills that is!
