Erm... The Price Mainly. Spring Spacers will be a lot more cheaper.

However longer shocks will most likely give you more travel. Unless your springs are damaged then i would go with the spacers for costs sake.

Hi Jim, dont bother mate, it'll drive bloody awful unless you correct the castor with new radius arms, mines [!Expletive Deleted!], i'm trying to find the time to fit my arms and I keep nicking the wifes motor because its so bad.  Why do you want to go higher? you dont keep scraping the transfer box on the ground do you? I keep on finding out that if i do one mod i have to do another and so on, If i did it again I would have had a 2" lift and nothing else, should have saved my money.  Still it'll be fun again when the new radius arms are fitted, wonder what'll be affected by fitting them......, oh and i need a new panhard rod cos it aint long enough for my lift kit.... dont stop mate!

jim what is the thinking for adding extra1inch lift,? i am running same set up as you plus 215r15 diamond backs which gives me another inch  and the jimny has v good articulation plenty of diff clearance and handles just fine , my thinking is another inch another set of problems .but go for spacers if you must go the extra inch  cheaper when you revert back  ha-ha
