MOT
« on: July 21, 2005, 23:13:14 »
The MOT is due on the ole "Turtle", so I phoned my normal garage, and asked for a booking for this Saturday,

"Sorry Sir we no longer do MOT's on a Saturday"
"Oh Poo" was my responce
"we can do it in the morning for you"
"Sorry no good I'm working away at the moment"
"Not a problem, how about 9:30 Friday"
"as I said I'm working away can't make it"
"No I mean 9:30 at night, were now 24 hour"

How brill is that a 24hour MOT station, a bit like 24 hours Tesco with less milk.

Keep your fingers crossed she passes

Can I book the three o’clock to four o’clock spot because if he is like me it’s before the coffee kicks in and the realization that you are still alive but you should still be in bed syndrome kick’s in?

Because I suffer from the thee o’clock blues and I would pass a wheel barrow with the wheel missing because until four o’clock comes around I am having tea with the clanger’s and the soup with the soup dragon (yes I am that old) . I can’t think that someone will have all his marbles running down the same track though the night will safely pass or fail all cars with a clear head? This is a day job we might moan when we fail the dreaded test but once it passed we will drive it with some confidence that it will make it to the next corner in one piece.

Night shifts, a commercial vehicle testing station near me does it as well, they just employ testers for night shifts, they love it

Glad she passed Phil! God knows how mine got passed as one of the lights had mud in it and I knew I had a fog light and number plate light out, guess the MOT tester was sufferin from the night before! So wheres this 24hour MOT station at? Is it a local one in MK? And are they open for other work 24 hour?

It is indeed in MK Owen, on Bleak Hall, Brian Currie's truck yard, been using them every since I've had the 'Turtle'.
