How much do you need Neil, I have a half sheet of about 5mm steel checker plate in my back garden.
It is a bit rusty (surface only) it is yours if you want it.

if you know nuneaton at all, next to halfords in the town centre ( well oposite the entrance ) is a body pannel shop, i bought a large sheet of metal for my cross member in the boot of my disco, they charged me 3 squid, they might be able to help you.

Cheers Lee, i can find that,i'll try them and see what they say. Just depends on whether they use anything that thick, i need about 1metre square!!!
