Help!! Poke My Eyes Out Quickly!
« on: August 17, 2005, 15:01:31 »
I was on my way home from work about 14:00 &passing through Wakefield when I saw a horrible sight.

It was a Double-Cab pick-up; think it might have been a Mitsubushi??

However it was painted in that strange 'Flip-Flop' paint that is usually found coating Saxos & the like.
The one that changes dramatically from purple to gold to green.

And to top the travesty off.

It had large alloys on (19"??) with ......... spinners on

I Hope I never see it again

I was thinking of getting that paint for the 101 actually.

How much do you think it would cost to get it done to that nice mirror finish?

All joking aside, about £800 a litre when a previous boss investigated for his Tuscun racer.

Can you get spinners for six studs?

So much money on paint!    They must be mad!

All the cehicles that I have seen it on have been small and driven by the elderly - does that mean old people have lots of money? :?

You could improve it with a litre of unleaded and a match.....

No, a proper Tuscan racer. He had the only road going one - he got the car from TVR and modified it for road use. Sadly, it now resides with him in Detroit  :(

He had it clocked at Castle Coombe once - 204mph

No, I knew you meant the earlier Tuscans, as in the racing series. they were bodied a bit like a Griffith/Chimera - but wider & lower.

I posted my Tuscan link for the colour

Ah, in that case you were pretty much spotty on!

The blue to green (as pictured) I think is nice, but the purple to beige is a bit, well..... beige, really!
