I'm a bit of a noob mechanic when it comes to cars, though I have always worked with my hands and reckon I'm fairly competant. My landys bulkhead is fairly rotten at the top (mainly on the inside) due to the crap seal (read sponge) which holds water against it. How much work is actually involved with removing and fitting a bulkhead? And how much will it cost for a new one, pref. galvanised as I only want to do this once.
If only I had mud Terrains........

ive done ONE & it will be the first & last for a while,it took me 4 days at 8 hours a day to do the swop & drove me nuts, would take even longer if you had to swap all the leckys & switches over from the old to the new,
1day for the front end(wings,bonnet,doors,floor & wiring)
1day for all the disconecting & reconnecting on the bulkhead
2days for wiring & a bit o the next day to put the front back on

I have done a couple now. Along with Chassis changes. It isnt the hardest of jobs, but as v8redline says, it is quite time consuming. I would advise that you take lots of measurements I.e where the bulkhead sits in relation to the rear tub. It also can turn out to be one of thos spiralling jobs. You take the bulkhead out, and find the floor and door sills are shot. I would consider repairing you existing one if you think you can, but here are a couple of pictures to make you think about it. I fitted a 1 year old bulkhead when i did my chassis change, and it was a pig. I had trouble lining everything up afterwards. But as i explained earlier, I didnt make any measurements.  . If you need any more advice, dont be afraid to ask. :D
