cruise control

J2O has just bought a 300tdi, the cruise control was not working.

I've checked all the vacuum pipes some were disconnected others split at the ends. so i've reconnected and repaired.

the problem now is that the set button accelerates and holds the speed but te res button doesn't resume to the preset speed after braking.

Is the actuator faulty. ?
