« on: August 31, 2005, 20:14:43 »
can any one help, i have a 84 90 with a 2.25 petrol with the weber32/34 dmtl carb.

it seems to be running rich , just done a long run and the tail pipe is not the nice greyish colour but black.

checked the plugs and there black too.

starts fine from cold, but not so good from hot.

were is the air screw on this carb? and mixture screw?

its got one of those fuel saver things fitted but i am temped to bog it off, cant see how they work me self.

Its been a while since i played with these but if memory serves me right the mixture screw is on the front base flange (front being towards the radiator when carb is fitted). It may have a tamper proof screw. The 90/110 workshop manual covers this. Have you cleaned the air filter recently? If you get stuck i can find you an evaluation pdf of the manual.
