Hello James! I have one of those Here! and i decided it was'nt man enough for my winch! so i opted for the Lucas split charge relay! which i have'nt fitted yet either! But i will eventually!

I have one and just like Mr Fever I decided it wasnt upto the job so I bought a relay kit from autosparks (
http://www.autosparks.co.uk
) at malvern. It was £26 for all the gubbins and looks like it will do the job.
If you want a little black german box you can have mine for £5 when I take it out next weekend. Or go to maplins and buy one for about £8.

The solid state one on ebay is ok for charging an extra battery but it cannot handle the load of a winch.
i think the bloke that is selling them should change the blurb a bit because they are no good for winches.
