PASSED

Got 34/35 for the multiple choice questions, would have been 35 if I had read the trick question carefully.

62/75 for the hazard perception.

The guy at the centre said I scored high.  Before I was just worried about passing, when I passed I was just annoyed I did not get 35/35.

The annoying thing is I have passed this all before, just left it too long and it expired so I had to do it again.

Time to book the practical.

I had to do a theory test recently, as part of a County minibus test, and nearly failed!  There were several road signs which I would know instantly in context, but when you see them on a sheet of A4 they seem more ambiguous!  Fortunately passed but I would have felt a right berk if I'd failed.

I was being quizzed last night and got eveything right except for one sign.  I could not for the life of me remember what a red circle with a white line through it meant.  #-o

I got it in the end, but it was a bit thick of me.  Strange thing is I got all the obscure ones spot on

Well done  :P  :P  :P  - particularly on the hazards perception, that one is a right b£$%£! Trees are apparently a hazard, not the kid running towards the road!

I was mostly worried about the hazard perception part.  I did some trial runs and when I see a car at a side road, I keep it in mind and watch out for it pulling out, but I never remember to click the mouse  :(

I think with the hazard perception, jumpy newer drivers would be better as they are more likley to click, I think a driver who has been driving for years would not remember to click.

I think the journey might be a bit much after just passing, but I will see.  I'll try and get some motorway experience on Thursday if I pass.

Ta, it helped.

I put in for the proper test when I got home :D.  Just need to practise my reverse pack and reverse round a bend in the Frontera, and I am ready.

You have to practice an off road course - IN REVERSE

You'll be ready for anything!

Lol, I am fine off road, driving across the top of ruts barely wide enough for my vehicle to straddle, lining up the wheels with no outside assistance.

But pulling up next to a kerb on the left... :( .  I just cannot work it out.

Barry What you need is to fit a wide angle mirror to your Nearside Door mirror and angle it down to see your back nearside wheel! But don't forget to check your blindspots as well! And thats a tip from a Truck Driver! Buy a pair of them they are about £5.00 and you will find them very usefull!

It is funny you should say that, cause I had been considering it, but will they let me use them for the test I wonder?

When/where are you taking your test?

I'll remember to take a holiday!  Nah just kidding.  I only passed my test in April this year and have already written one car off.  Not that I'm trying to make a habit of it!

Brentwood on the 20th of October.  With Warley hill as ground zero, I would recomend a 15 mile radius dead zone :D

Well done;
I like this approach, make sure enough people know when and where your test is and you won't have other traffic to negotiate on test.

It would be intersting if those of us who have been driving for a while ahd to go and do the same test?
