What to check and look out for when buying
« on: September 11, 2005, 13:06:06 »
A friend of mine is looking to buy a Disco, probably a 200Tdi, and the fool asked me to go and check some out with him.

Any hints as to what to look for thats specific to Discos?????

Apart from usual things, I would say rust would be the big thing to look out for. Typical places to find it on the 200Tdi would be the wheel arches, sills and the rear floor. All can be repaired of course but he may not want the hassle. Water ingress especially in the rear can be bad so have good nose under carpets etc.
