Is there an off-road course close to J14 M1 south bound. I drove past yesterday and could see something but didn't have time to have a proper look.

I think it's more of a mini motorcross course - looks a bit on the small side  :?

Hi been passed it a few times now and have seen only motorbikes on there. Not big enough for proper 4x4s.
Cheers.

That's Pineham your talking about.
When my boy was racing Moto X we only ever raced there once. It was horrible due to being water logged for large parts of the year. Also the paddock / pits are on one side of the motorway and the track is on the other. you have to walk under the motorway.
Now after spending thousands on drainage and track improvements,
I've discovered 4x4s and he's discovered GIRLS

Trust me on this one

The track you are talking about. Adjacent to the South Bound OFF-SLIP M1 Jct 14.

IS KNOWN as PINEHAM
It's accessed along a track next to the Heli pad
also think there used to be a BMX or SKATE PARK, there aswell.

Its certainly motorcross, saw the air ambulance land there last week, M1 was like a road in a sand storm.  Not great for visability I have to say and was one hell of a distraction but very impressive to watch!
