Yesterday I had an accident involving a credit card and a tyre place ;-)

They are 255/55/19 MT/R's - I've included a pic of the 235/85/16's on Piglet for comparison - the 255/55's look meatier!

Hmm...they don't do snorkels for them. I understand they have a bit of a whizz-bang air intake system, will have to look into it - but notice the G4's do not have snorkels.....

Is it whizz-bang, or glug-glug-BIG BANG.

You could design a snorkel for them and then mass produce it, for £££'s

Then it would be very nice of you to cut me in with a little %age for the idea  [-o<

Got a pic? Mantec's site is not showing anything for L322.

Yep, they look meatier all right.

Probably something to do with using the same sized tread blocks on a wider carcass.

Nice 8)

cheers

Phil,

Are you sure it wasn't just the DIII in it's RRS guide? They have the same air intake position, so it would make sense.

Nope, was defiantly an L322, was parked next to the D3 on the Friday, didn't see it again over the weekend, but it was defiantly a rangie. Little Landie was with me at the time as we both remarked about the gap between the snorkel and the outer wing.

Assuming that one set of gills is "fake", the other must be an intake - would have to be a big snorkel :-)

Deffo would be interested in seeing it :-)

I have vague recollections of a New Rangie getting drowned in italy on a recovery expedition in LRO a few months back.

Owl looks wicked with MT's on
Nice to see you went with the Goodyears
Talking of Billing and rangies, there was a rangie sport all kitted out which disapeared.
Had a snorkel (with a big gap) a roof rack and so on.
Missed it too (knew i should always carry my camera)

So, you guys really rate the MT/R tyres then?

Good all rounders or particularly good for one area?

Mike

I rate the Goodyears very highly.
Great road manners and very capable off road.

I have had both the goodyear MTRs and BFGs - I must admit to finding the MTR better on road (its quieter) but for off road the BFG is noticably better in the sticky stuff.

The MTR looks nice though
