It's a very smart move by the marketing people at the supermarkets... they absorb the cost increase in the fuel, take a loss-leader to get people to their premises and get to look like complete heroes at the same time.... The smaller organisations won't be able to compete, so depending on how long they plan to buy market share there is a real possibility of putting a good chunk of them out of business at the same time.

The amount of money you saved on one tank full is not much, but please feel stupid if you waited in the queues to get fuel and wasted more money .
