Hi,

Used to live in Lichfield before moving to Market Drayton, there are a few members around the area. I don't know of many lanes round there, I tend to head towards wales, others may know different. The is always Derbyshire just 'up the road'

If you can make it down to Salisbury in October join us for a treasure hunt across the plain.

Oh man, there are stacks of good Mud Club types in the area - you needn't be short of company! Hinckley seems to be a particular hotspot!

Keep a real close look on the lanin' and events forums. Won't be long before something happens relatively local. If you're about at the weekend there's the excellent 4x4 festival at Abingdon (the offroad course is excellent and well worth the drive) or there's the 4x4 show at Stoneleigh where a few of us will be kicking about on other stands   .

As another approach, there's a thriving GLASS group in the West Mids and another in the Black Country.

No, you definately shouldn't be short of things to do!

cheers

hi

im in wolverhampton

there is a good GLASS group (black country) here, meets 3rd thurs of the month at the OK Diner in Lye nr Merry Hill (helps if youre a member of GLASS as well ...)

as for offroading we dont do much that locally as there doesnt seem to be much, however derbyshire is about 1hr and north wales is about the same length but t'other way.

cheers
James

Whereabouts in Sutton Coldfield???

I live at Bassetts Pole, so just on the outskirts of Sutton.

Greenlaning wise, there's a couple of lanes out towards Twycross Zoo way (Ashby)... but that's about it really... although if you like water Little Packingtons a good ford to vist (back of Coleshill/by stonebridge island/A45)

Best heading towards Derby for the better stuff....

As mentioned, there's a lot of members around the Leicester area's on here who are quite often out on trips.

I haven't done much green laning of late... even though I've got three Landies

There are one or two relatively close (but if you're on a lane you're not off-road - you're on one! ), but they may take some finding!

cheers
