Ran alongside a FreeLander 50th on the A64 for a while this morning, with a young lady driving.

Once I peeled off at Headley Bar, the site of one of the old turn-pike bar houses.  (& there's a WW1 aircraft hanger  nearby as well, one of only 2 remaining in the country!! (2 photos)

Oh, & returning to the subject matter
I realised that it was one I knew, & so didn't need the photo I sneaked.

(it actually visits about 6 doors away & lives down on a new estate by the by-pass)

If you are selling S50RAT, are you still going to be searching out 50's for us in the future?

Quite possibly, I've been watching them since they came out, but only started this thread last February.

Not too sure about the plate though?, depends on age of replacement vehicle, it could put it on the Fabia?, too much trouble to go on the 'Works Van' (Mondeo)

With regard to the topic; 'Could I Be Lucky?', there's something I didn't mention...

Joanne asked if there was a Defender in the same colour as she likes the colour :D

I know a forum with members who are selling a couple of Defender 50th's. I believe one is already LPG converted

I found some more for you today.
1. Defender
You'll know this. Its supercharged and was featured in one of the mags last month.

It belongs to a chappie who posts as Parbs'

It is #209 in the produciton run, & was featured in a copy of 'LRO', but way back in November 2002 in an article about the dealer; James French

He's got a couple of nice ones in;
90Tdi CSW

90 'Heritage'

Two points.

1. Spotted a new (to me) FreeLander 50th in Ossett (between Wakefield & Dewsbury) yesterday
3-door with the 'body-kit' (the one that has the side strakes)
S555 DST

2. The Defender 50th that Jake (S324 HKP) photographed on Marine Drive at the end of the London to Brighton.
It has allegedly 300bhp, 360Ib/ft of torque (so still fairly understressed)
0-60mph; 6.8seconds
125-130mph top speed
17" rims?
Water injection

I found the relevant copy of 'LRO' & they also had a Westfield 'SEight' with the same supercharged engine fitted
I bet that's fun!!!

Yes. As it says in the Stock List.
The sill chequer-plating is non-original, as the optional plates were natural, not grey, but it does compliment the alloys

Spotted a Freelander & Discovery this afternoon

The FreeLander (T443 PKL) at the bottom of WestGate in Wakefield, I've not seen this one before

The Discovery (EBT 1W) at a pub near Thorpe Audlin on the Doncaster - Pontefract turnpike road.
It (for some reason) runs on painted 'Boost' alloys

'WebShots' is playing silly bvggers at the minute, I've tried three times to load them, they've shown once & disappeared

Got photos of 2 Hot-Rod (Ford) pick-ups that I saw in Wakefield as well

And to my astonishment I saw another 2 today

They're getting common. I need a Coniston Green 110CSW

The first was a FreeLander 5-door; T349 GUA', I'd just pulled up at the end of the lane with the junction onto the main road through where we live on my way to the land-fill
I glimpsed across past the Roman-Catholic Church & there it was.

The other was a Discovery. I'd been to the land-fill & was heading down the town by-pass.
At a roundabout, I saw one approach from my left, sadly I had traffic close behind so couldn't slow down.
I couldn't make out the registration, plus there was a team of Bobbys pointing a speed camera in the direction I was coming from.
I was still in 4th & accelerating, so only doing about 35mph in a 50mph zone

It's SWMBO who gets the tickets in this house. 1 fine paid & 3-points, plus she thinks she might have another    (both around Leicester)

On my way to work this afternoon & spotted the familiar colour on a  Discovery in a supermarket car-park, so a quick spin round in the Council yard.

I think this is probably the one I mentioned in the above post that I saw at the roundabout (Mon 31st October)

It looks very clean & tidy, still on the original pattern Goodyear tyres, with side-runners. The body clusters don't look to have indicators in though.
Having said that I changed the clusters on mine to incorporate body tail-lights & indicators.

And a resprayed 90 that I see on a regular basis

See page 12 of this topic

Actually 'T492 JHD', I saw it at the Hospital today.
Well there can't be many with a missing off-side mud-flap & that particular soft wheel-cover, but I wasn't in a position to get a photo

I've seen this one several occasions this week, it must be fairly local.

Plus there was another FreeLander on the M62, it was coming down the
west-bound slip-road at Thorpe interchange (the convergance of the M1 & M62) as we went east.
