Few Questions..
« on: September 26, 2005, 23:17:19 »
Hi everyone, first post here  :D

Just a few questions really regarding my SJ410.

What sort of tacho would you recommend I put in it? Dash set from an SJ413 maybe?

Looking to get some cheap bucket seats, not sure which ones would be best, im not a small person

I would like a bit more grunt from the jeep, I know its a 1.0l but is there any (cheapish) way I can get it sounding alot beefier? New exhaust etc

Thanks alot.
Max

hi max
y are you wanted to change the dash clocks?
comfy seats??? depends how much work you want to do you can fit almost any seat with a bit of welding or spanner work
honda civic, astra gte, ford secort, ford fiesta, are the most popular that are fitted.
only something like a janspeed manifold and exhaust is likely to put a bit more grunt but not much tbh, again with a bit of spanner work you can drop in a 1.3 is your 410 the 4 or 5 speed version?

Hi thanks for the replies dudes.
I like to have a rev counter infront of me, not sure why  :o
Would it be better to get a seperate one to sit on the dash or something?

I just find the seats at the moment a bit uncomfy and feel like a change, I found bucket seats to be comfy so any ones will do really as long as they are cheapish

My SJ is the 4 Speed version by the way.  How much would the Janspeed cost?

hi max
you wud probly be better of going to halfruads for an after market rev counter as they pretty simple to fit.
janspeed???? i think kap suzuki do these but unsure give darren a ring he may be able to help you.
i ask about 4 speed gearbox cause im sure it makes it difficult to swap the engine and box as i think the transmission tunnel is slightly smaller and the 5 speed box is slightly bigger. and anyway the 4 speed is a stronger box for off roading too so stick with it

I have a 4 in to 2 in to 1 tubular manifold with a Janspeed system its battered but sounds very good.
Most people make there own as if yopu off road you will soon damage it
Remember it will come in handy even if you never use it
