Do you, like us, find yourself inexorably drawn to browsing to compare a neighbours/ house close by to see what it's for sale at?

Or browse at the dearer end of the market in your locality. The regional paper, the 'Yorkshire Post' has some wonderful building in it in the Saturday supplement & I've found just the one
The Priory Estate :D  :D  :D

Curiously enough, I'm going to the village on Sunday, after the National Railway Museum at York, we'll feed the ducks on the village green & go in the 'Alice' (see photos)
Pages 1 & 2 (wonder if the Bentley GT comes with it ??)

Admittedly a fully restored 'Art-Deco' house would be wonderful (like this one, or this)

Obviously the 'Priory' & 'The White House' are both lottery money, so I suppose I'll have to go &  buy my first ever ticket.

Scarily, the wife says she's seen a house whilst on one of her missionary trips down south :(scared):  :(scared):  :(scared):  :(scared):  :(scared):

And she's gone down today as well :(scared):

And further east in Yorkshire is Bishop Burton, another beautiful village with a wonderful pub in it, called 'The Altisidora'

Sadly, this is the only photo I can find
Tull is the closest member I know of & he'll probably vouch for its beauty

Must say if I had that much to spend on a property I'd settle for a smaller house and much much more land....

Too many rooms, too fancy gardens.
Can't see an oil change on the front lawn happening there.
I agree to the more land idea, with an offroad course or two! :P

It's got plenty of space around the back for the mechanical stuff & plenty of local farm-land.
