EGR Valve
« on: October 02, 2005, 18:00:42 »
Have a blanking kit for the removal of the EGR valve on a 300Tdi.

Having looked at the job and soaked the four bolts, two on the exhaust manifold and two on the air feed from the front of the disco in plus gas fluid, has anyone any further recomendations on how to remove the bolts.

Have gone lightly lightly so as not to damage the bolts, and have only succedded in removing one!!

Any further ideas, much appreciated

Use some heat.  I have a little dntal burner that works a treat on small bolts.

You'll probably know them better as the litle torches in cook shops used for creme brulee!
