It's a vast place:
LOTS of mud; lots of grass hills: VERY slippery- big learning curve for me! Very little in the way of facilities, basically, if you're going to want it, take it with you!! eg toilet etc
Lots of dirt bikers who seem oblivious to the dangers of riding straight in front of Land Rovers (and the fact that it's 5.45 am, and peeps are still trying to sleep :(bigangry): )
LOTS of midges; take DEET!!!
If no-one else posts directions for you, I'll try and find 'em :(contented):

jump on the road north n head up here as we have our own vertion of toms at drumclog just south of kilmarnock way ish (M74 turn off J8 & follow the signs)

last time i was there for a difflock wknd there was guys up from waaaaay down south n the time before that guys came over fae ireland for the craic
