Leaving you all...
« on: October 12, 2005, 22:09:19 »
Okay, not quite yet, but in February Emily and I will be leaving the UK to live in Greece for the foreseeable future.

We going to set up a mountain bike holiday company, so if any of you are interested in mountain biking (Or just want a recommendation for a good hotel) have a look at our website http://www.EpicMtbGreece.com

I'll still keep an eye on the forum (and maybe post a few pics of my Paj out on the trails in Greece), just for a taste of home!

Alaric.

We're very much looking forward to it - we just got back from our 3rd scouting trip this year, and it finally came home. We've also sold our house, which was one of the biggest steps, so it really all happening now.

Adverts came out in this months moutain bike mags, business cards ad postcards are here, we've got posters up in bike shops...now all we need are some clients!

Good luck mate.
It was nice to meet up with both of you last year.

I hope everything works out. It's a big gamble but in the end you wouldn't want to say what if???

Hope it all goes well. Maybe you should consider setting up to do guided 4x4 offroad trails. If Greece is anything like other Mediteranian places I've driven then it would be ideal!

The very best of look to you, from the pics on your site it looks brilliant for offroading and MTB. Cliff and myself are just getting back in to MTB so you never know we might see you again some time in the future.

Thanks Guys.

We have all sorts of plans and possibilites for the future, obviously getting the mountain biking off the ground is the first priority.

I'll be using the 4x4 to find some of the trails though, as a lot are accessible with 4wd. I used a Vitara to find some of the trails when we were there in May - I didn't choose to enlighten the hire company as to quite where it had been though...

All the best,  it's a big step but give it a couple of years and you'll have forgotten all about us over here ;-)

Would be well worth dropping a PM to Pantelis (Mud-Club member pantg http://forums.mud-club.com/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=860)

He's a nice chap, and knows plenty about the off-roading scene in Greece.  I'm sure he'd be happy to show you around too :-)
