Apparently, this is a picture of an Audi A8 that was made for a sheikh in Dubai.

The thing is that this car is MADE of SILVER… It is not just silver in colour!!!

Oh and it weighs more than a Hummer!!

And we wonder why oil prices are so high!

Must be an improved engine aswell I would think, I can't see the standard lump shifting that much weight.

Looks brilliant though.

Oh, I don't know, one of the engines for the A8 is the (300bhp?) 4.2litre V8.

It looks very much like the show-car that was all polished up.

I wonder if Phil Bashall at Dunsfold Land Rover can sell him a 'solid-silver' 90 to go with it?

I read somewhere that A8 was actually polished Aluminium not Silver. Still it's different though. Remember the stainless De Loreans?

They were, & the first(?) car to have a partially bonded aluminium construction.
Even the sales brochures came out in an aluminium sleeve
(I think I've still got one down in my 'snug')

Both are beautiful  :D

Makes you think though - imagine how powerful the Arab nations could be if the guys with money didn't spend it all on toys!

- oh yes, I hope 'we' were joking about using Gold as a 'structural component'

Oh yes and as regards engines... whilst you are doing a 'special' you could put in the bi-turbo V8 from the RS6 with 450 bhp and 413 ft/lb of torque... 'Might' shift a bit then
