I have a series 3 with free wheeling hubs. I only use 4x4 off road and was wondering if it would be a good Idea to weld up the front diff for tracktion. When I am off road it would be a bit hard on stearing but great for tracktion. When I am onroad it would not matter as I always unlock the wheels. Has anybody got anything to say about this as I think it may be a good Idea. I have already posted this on the wrong forum so I am sorry if you have already seen this....
COME ON WHAT YOU THINK.

I personally wouldn't do it, They may not be upto def standards offroad or come to it 'car' like on road, but they are pretty capable. I Don't really know what would happen if you did :?:

Wouldn't you be putting more stress on the half shafts. I believe S111 shafts are made of cheese aren't they?
