I saw this on saturday while doing the treasure hunt around Salisbury.
Ok it's not a real Bugatti but its very eye catching and it is finished to a very high standard!  :D

Rather sadly, there used to be a Beetle based Bugatti type 35 kit. All was well until you started it up!!

I found my eyes drawn to the Spridget behind. It is fitted with a Fibresports front end. My 65 Midget came with one of those when I bought it back in 1983. Fibresports are the people who made the X pack for Ford. Remember those? If you do, you're probably old and grey like me

I have the pleasure of working round the corner from a fabrication shop that does some amazing work for all sorts of machinery. They are currently working on a Maserati driven by Fangio.
They have had a Bugatti type 59 (I think). The 4 wheel drive one. Only 2 were built by the factory and one other was built from parts later.
They also built an entire body for a prototype Lamborghini. It was similar to the Miura and was due to replace it. Never came to production because the built the Countach instead. The car was crashed heavily in the late 70's and they were 'recreating' it using a few drawings, photo's and the few remaining parts.

Amazing stuff.
