I take it you know its illegal; to tow a SJ on an A frame?
A frames are only allower to recover a broken down vehicle to a place of safety.
If you are not doing the above as its over 750Kg it must have automatic brakes, then its legal.
Its a mine field but most people me included have never been stopped, the secret is to look the part, make sure all the lights and No plate are correct, if you do get stopped tell them you are recovering it.
I assume you have a licence that allows you to tow a trailer? and your tow car weighs over 1000Kg?
Remember it will come in handy even if you never use it

Just because you didnt get stopped dose not make it OK.The weight of the towing vehicle dose not matter.
The only way to make it legal is to fit it with trailer type brakes that operate when the towing vehicles do, or strip the SJ down so it is under the legal weight for unbraked trailers 750Kg.
I am sure this has been mentioned before here and on
www.difflock.com
where the legal chapter and verse has been quoted. The only way around it is if you do get stopped you need to have more idea of the law than the copper, if its a good traffic cop you have had it , but you can allways tell them you are recovering it, they may well make you stop at the nearest safe place as this is the law, but not many coppers know it this specifically

Thanks Dan
Look at this link its my SJ on an owners sitehttp://www.suzukiclubuk.com/daveshaw.html

The lift is about 6"
The history
I swaped it for a rebuilt Warn 8274 from a guy called Paul from this forum
(Show your self if you are reading this)
He bought it from Ebay from a guy called Marcey (in the north east)who bought it as a chavs low rider big alloys big stereo car, marcey gave it the lift and the off road tyres.
Some time inthe past its had the engiune tuned dont know by who.
Its got loads of paper work with it.
Any previous owners get intouch
I have rebuilt the front axel and brake syatem just some welding left to do
I should finish it kids permitting early next year.
Its very good off road
Remember it will come in handy even if you never use it
