Ratio is probably right. AFAIK all 90 / 110, Disco, RR use 3.54:1 diffs. It's only a 5 minute job to pull one of your halfshafts out and check the splines, you don't even need to take a wheel off.

Dave, if you know it's knackered and needs replacing you can buy Molyslip one-shot treatment which will shut it up for a while. But make sure you buy the one for diffs !!!
If you have no joy with above mention diff then in a couple of weeks my perfectly good rear axle (drum brakes) is coming off to make way for a disc brake axle, so mine will be available if it's suitable (don't ask me I dunno)
Give us a shout if you want it.
Cheers

Cheers all for the offers and info
but I took it out this morning to find that the little shaft that runs between the two little gears (sun gears?) has sheared in two!
what with that and the pinion bearing gone I have just got a new one from those smashing people at ashcrofts.
just finished fitting it - what a mechanic I am!!!
I will post a pic later of the damaged unit - in the damage to me motor thread of course
by the way Guy - F'all to do with the Tixover mud nah nah!!
