Off Charge
« on: October 28, 2005, 19:51:50 »
On the way home from work battery light came on and charge indicator dropped to edge of red . It was ok all week after a full charge last week and all this week, is it likely to be a sick battery, or a short or alternator ?; as i said a weel ago it went flat during one day parked up but has been fine for all this week. Dont want to get new one unless i have to

Oh well didnt make it to halfords, just 8 miles down road, charge light on meter down to red and rapid swing to overheat, fan belt, shredded, would explain it all .

There's no substitute for DIY.  I have this conversation regularly with a friend/neighbour and we both agree, never buy a mechanic's car as they don't seem capable of keeping even their own motors safe.  Funny thing is, guess what he does for a living......
