Hot-Rodding Is Alive & Well
« on: October 31, 2005, 19:26:17 »
I was on my way out of Wakefield yesterday after having been to the 'HCVS' show at the National Coal Mining Museum.
I was ambling along quite contendedly along the A638 (DOncaster Road) on my way down towards Wentbridge & Kirk Smeaton to have a look at a couple of little lanes, when all of a sudden............

A set of flames caught my eye, it was on a vehicle parked up outside a popular local road-side diner/truck-stop.
So, of course, I went in.

I've seen the Willeys fronted pick-up around Wakefield before, but never had an opportunity to photograph it.

I wonder how often the Model B driver gets stopped for no guards, or engine cover????? (if not strictly a bonnet, simply a drive-belt cover)

It had been 'persistantly precipitating it down' for a while, so I guess they'd gone in to avoid the spray issue?

I waited a while, but no-one came out to them
