Whats the red ducks about?

I have read this thread 3 times now and haven't a clue what this duck thing is all about...does it mean that I have to buy and display some form of duck in my car or can I buy and display some other form of creature such as a photo of my mother in law which will scare off most things in this Country...confused

Just to be really sad ............. I've got the complete collection :D  Not in my Jeep, obviously.  I take each one out in turn - different levels of protection for different areas/activity.
