kep catching my center box when I'm playing off road, despite the 3" lift pipe work is sound as the center and rear boxes are practically new (3-4 mos old) thinking about cutting the center box out and just welding a straight pipe in its place. Anyone know if this will cause any issues to a v8 running on lpg.

ps not bothered about noise levels

Think is the centre box does all the work on the V8, you could easliy loose the rear box fine but the centre could make it a bit too noisy for the scuffers.

well....... never been a patient person, so I'm now center boxless, given me more clearence underneath which was what I was interested in. Shes ummmm pretty loud, may need to throw in one of those universal straight through boxes to quieten it down a little (cant afford the glazing bill for my neighbours) :) Petrol seem to have given me a little bit more power lpg doesnt seem any different but I may need to tweak the mixture as it probably leaned it out a little.

A 90 rear, cut and shut into the centre position just takes the resonance out leaving a lovely note and a rear seat that is useable without bleeding ears!

How loud is loud H ?

I have tried mine with standard exhaust....sounded like a magic carpet !

Straight pipe in place of rear box......bit more grunty sounding but no way it was going through MOT.....

Now has a cherry bomb on the back and it's still a bit toooooooo quiet...

Mind you, sounds crap on 5 cylinders....you any good with V8's ??

Hi H

It sounded very nice the last time I tried to keep up with you .

On my V8 disco I had a frogs Island exhaust designed for off road use. They used a V8 90's middle box only. Sounded very nice without been to loud.

ah haaa I thought I recognised that Saab :) might be a bit too loud but sure scares the hell out of the nova boys when I hit the loud pedal :)
