Snow
« on: November 16, 2005, 08:48:57 »
We had our first snow of the "hard winter" as it is supposed to be, at 6.30am. this morning.  Lasted for about 20 mins. & still some nasty clouds around.  Only got "road" 235*70*16's on the RRC & just put a pair of Colway AT's on the back of SWMBO's Jimny.  Life would be HELL if she could get out of the estate & I couldn't !!!!.--Cogs

Cogs,

Where are you roughly....

Glad to see it's heading south, can't wait to finally be able to justify having a 4x4!

'Karloss' is somewhere in the wilds of Scotland & he says he's already had snow.

Our first indicator of forthcoming snow is our view of HolmeMoss, which is the highest point around my vicinity.

Dunno about snow yet, but I had my first frost Sunday evening.  Finished work for the day and went to my quad to head home.  It was white over with frost!

I discovered a new definition of cold on my way home that night, my lips actually froze together.  Would I do it again?  Hell, yeah!  Only, I now have an SAS style balaclava to go under my helmet.  :D

TimM, 7 miles south of Newcastle but about 500 ft. higher up.  Where we are we look straight at one TV mast & look down at another & they don't put them in low-down places.--Cogs.  Just checked my Viscous joint, all's well thankfully, roll on playtime!! :D   :D

It's definately heading south then  :(biggrin):

Last year (no 4x4) I hated snow (about 10 years ago I got snowed into my car and buried in a snowdrift   ), this year (with 4x4) I can't wait!

No snow here but I think the long-johns need to go in the tumble dryer for their winter warm. Just stepped outside and had a shock to the system as last week was still t-shirt and shorts weather. Brrrrrrrrrrrrr  :(

Much as I love my snow, if there's 3 foot of snow in Essex, we'll be in serious trouble up here!   :D
