any body know the differance

can any body shed some light on the differance in rear stub axels and y so many part nos: and y is it every part is dearer for the 200
P.S any body from steve parkers that may come on the site thanxs ill do it mi self

How do you mean, the difference and so many part numbers?

Just had a quick poke at the parts catalogue and I only get two numbers
VIN number JA032849 (1992) = part number FRC8005
VIN number JA032850 onwards = part number FTC3188

Not sure of the difference - could either be when they changed over to 24 splines from 10 or maybe when ABS came in (I think the stubs are the same whether you have ABS or not tho)

I bought a rear one for my 300 (3188) December 02 which was about 40quid I think. Thing wasn't finished properly tho so I ended up re-using the existing one after playing with the angle grinder on the old bearing welded to it!

ye i managed with ftc 3154
ftc 57 ftc 3188 frc 8005  :?  but may well just D I Y  it my selfbut the main 2 for my chassis no is ftc 57 and frc 8005 but twice the price of ftc 3154 and ftc 3188 that y i wondered about any differance for all i know some body could of put a 300 rear diff on and i wouldnt know surely they r the same  :shock:
