Cleaning injectors

As some of you know, my injectors are all fouled up with engine oil after the turbo gave in so I'd like to clean them out before refitting.  Anyone know how to go about this.  If no one has a better idea, I'll take them into work and ultrasonicate them in acetone, the methanol then isopropanol.  Will definately get them clean but I'm not sure if there's anyhthing inside them that could get damaged.  What do you think?

I have vague recollections from back in my days of reading performance car magazines that they did a feature on cleaning petrol injectors, I don't have the magazine anymore, but seem to remember it like this:

They connected the injectors up in a glass tank, pumping a liquid through them (unfortunately I can't remember what) and then they used ultrasound to aggitate them. Being in a glass tank they could watch the spray pattern improving.

I suspect diesel injectors are done in a similar manner.

Try sticking 'injector cleaning' into Google and see if that brings you up any suggestion of how the pro's do it, I got this from a quick search.

best thing is to take them to a diesel specialist to get them cleaned properly unless you have the right tools, dont just wipe them off with a cloth as you can push crud in the holes and make them worse

If you can get them to me, I'm down somewhere tomorrow I should be able to get them tested for you, while they do my cam belt

do you really need your injectors testing
if your turbo went bang its more likely oil in your air intake
oil shouldnt give your injectors a prob
and they fire about 130bar (guesstmate) which should clear any oil off them

if its smoking its oil in the system
if its misfiring it could be a piece of turbo damaged the tip of the injector

I should be able to test them tomorrow for him for the break off pressure and spray pattern
