Flashing Devil duck clip.

http://www.seagullparts.co.uk/duck.asf

Its not a very good clip but you get the general idea.

I bought a big  10mm diameter LED from ebay, one of those super bright ones.  I got a red one but a white one should work fine.  I soldered some wires to the legs of the led, then I used a pair of closed scissors to open up the hole in the underside of the duckie.  Pushed the LED into the hole.

I then attached the other end of the wires to my alarm LED.

If you dont have an alarm led you could use one of those fake alarm flashing leds you can buy at auto accessory shops.

You've started something now, the girlfriends sat here demanding that she has a flashing duck aswell, only she's not content with the one in the car flashing, she wants her keyring devil duck to flash, I'm not allowed to open up the seem to insert a battery and some sort of flasher unit and she doesn't want anything attached to the outside. Helpfully she does point out there's a little hole in the base (smaller than the end of a pen) :D

Having seen the comments on "Flashing" ducks I don't feel guilty about my plans for my "Glow in the Dark" duck who will be surprised when a green LED arrives (well I guess surprised is one way of putting it               )

So before long look out for a green duck on the M25

Shouldnt be too hard to spot either seeing as traffic seldome moves on the M25 :D

As for the flashing keyring duck, cant think of a solution that meets your wifes regulations except, how about getting a small dolls coat, put it over the duck and when she wants it to flash she can open the jacket up, it would work even better if you can get the duck to jump out from behind a bush first though. :D
