Do i leave the dent as a war wound or try and straighten it?
« on: November 17, 2005, 22:18:09 »
Well, my wing got dented at the weekend as was spread all over the forum by Mr Miniman.  The question is do I straighten or leave as a war wound.  I can't decide?

You should leave it as it is and put a pic in window for all to see what happened

I can't work out that photo at all.  Have you taken your wheel off and replaced it with a boulder?

Dents give character in Defenders;  you'll only do it again;  and as we all know, if you fix everything on your car, something'll break very quickly to fill the entropy void, so always leave something broken!

How about putting a similar dent in the other wing and pretending it's styling?

Dents and especially dripping with mud just makes them look better for the school run  :)

Nothing better than a very muddy Disco picking the kids up from school!

Picture the scene:

I'm a boy racer revving my nova engine at the lights, I'm fighting for a place with a shiny range rover, I think he'll give in first, he values his car too much...

Scene 2:

I'm a boy racer revving my nova engine at the lights, I'm fighting for a place with a white 90, I glance across and see the huge dent..... I now feel scared, a strange smell suddenly appears, I back off and pretend I'm saving fuel...

LEAVE THE DENT!

Agreed, it ensures a guaranteed wide-berth for installing 'small-child' into vehicle as well

I parked between a Porch Cayenne & a RR Sport at the school a while ago & the Stuggart show-off moved & parked  elsewhere.

Can't understand why???

Agreed!

So long as there's no contact between tyre & wing at full-lock/ full suspension compression.

Looks tougher now :D

I'd get knock it back in to roughly shape it was before mr rock reshaped it, more for safety reasons than looks.

other than the slight crease under the indicator that should pull out nicely, crease aint gonna let it pull out perfectly but its Ali so even the crease could be knocked out if you know anyone skilled with a bodywork hammer and dolly.
