Under the injector is a small copper washer that seals it to the head. If i were you, i would hope it is the that has failed.

Have to checked it is tight first?

Are you sure the gasses are coming from there?

Make sure they are not coming from the manifold, and giving the impression that is where they are coming from. Any pics would be good.

What is the Implications of removing the Injector? ie: would i have to bleed the system?

It sounds like it could be the problem then. What i would say is.

*BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN REMOVING THE INJECTOR, IF THE WASHER HAS BROKEN UP THEN YOU MIGHT NEED TO FISH BITS OUT WITH A LONG SCREWDRIVER AND SOME GREASE*  *YOU DONT WANT TO DROP ANYTHING DOWN THE HOLE*

I doubt you will need to bleed it, as your only removing one injector.

So if that is the case of a little copper washer breaking up! Then it should'nt be too hard to change? Maybe i should change all 4 whilst i am at it?
Is it a common Fault those washers failing?

It is a fairly easy job. But remember you will need to bleed them all if you going to do the lot. I wouldnt say it is a common problem. Maybe you just had a dodgy one fitted, and has now decided to fail.

For the cost i would probably do them .

Lie i said before. Be careful not to drop anything down the hole. Clean around them before you remove them first. Also cover them all the time your not working round it.

I was thinking on the lines of Changing the duff one and then running the engine for a couple of mins so that the fuel flow would'nt be affected! and do exactly the same for the rest of them? And dropping a little bit of engine oil on the copper rings so that they would'nt move?

Yes that would work. Be careful that the injectors dont become stuck from having the engine warm up. Also be careful not to get dirt or drop the injectors on the spray nozzle. They are very sensitive, and slight damage will prevent them from working.
