Anti roll bars
« on: March 18, 2004, 13:12:36 »
Me again  :D
I have anti-roll bars, front and rear on my Defender. The front one is knocking like a ***** :(  The ball joint will need replacing. I'm toying with the idea of removing them completely. Someone has suggested that the bars decrese articulation, is this true :?:
Has anyone else removed the bars :?: Any real difference in handling :?:

Cheers.

The anti roll bars DO restrict articulation. Mine has none on but rarely gets used on the road.

The anit-roll bars do limit articulation, but then again make a big difference to the cornering stability on-road.   It's a choice really.

They shouldn't be a huge trauma to remove, so I would suggest that you take them off... if you hate it, replace the bushes and stick them back on.
