i smiled and shouted at the TV this Morning when they said that the people who were stuck on BODMIN were rescued by people in 4x4's how many of the anti - brigade were stuck and had to eat humble pie when they got in to one those vehicles.

Yes its great when something like that happens. and as a side note have you noticed how meny 4x4 are sporting a sticker for the protest on the contryside aliance. Imagine that lot doing another march for the 4x4s. and with all this white stuff everyone else has got (still none here). It would be a good idea for people to put there names down and form a group that the emergency services call call upon to help in times this this

would be good to see an organised thing down here in cornwall, I see Devon, Somerset etc are getting groups together.

The roads were pretty chaotic last night but it was only the sheer volume of traffic that gave us 4x4ers any problems, I was able to help out friends and neighbours with transport but it would be good to be able to offer help to the overstretched and under 4x4-equiped  emergency services.

im down here in cornwall and as defuzz says it was pretty manic, and one of my friends had a new massy fergison, and he was pulling people out of th ehedges an dsenery, he's a sensible bloke, checked with the owners as well and most where happy to do so, but then the police, who came to our house after being told by many people thatwe have 4wheel drives, asking if we could help them on rescue missons, told him to go hoe, and that he wasnt aloud to do it, we had to turn down the police as of the 3 rr's we have 1's got no fuel, 1's not quite finished bobtail, waithing for th efuel tank and the others stuck in 4wheeldrive so we too kthe front prop off so is rearwheel drive!
i think this is slightly stupid, teling a very capeable bloke with a capable peice of kit, to go home?!?!
anyone else had this near them!?
cheers
