Halfords.
As it used to look.
Found in Haywoods Heath.
 :D
Reminds me of my childhood.
I remember going to the Kingston one with my Dad when i was 10 to buy a new bike.
I wanted a Grifter but my Dad wanted me to get some new fad thing called a BMX.
I wanted the Grifter.
3 weeks later ET came out.
All my mates got BMX's.
How sick was i!!

I got a Grifter when I outgrew my Striker!

The shop photo reminds me of the days of the old Thames Television photo of St Paul's reflected in the Thames.

I remember the Wakefield Halfords in that insignia as well, and it displaying the Chopper when it was new.
Grifters were available in silver & then red.

I also remember a good friend getting a Raleigh 'Silver Jubilee' from there

There's a testicle-related reason for that.

All the girls wore black and white striped tops or pants and leg warmers.
Most of the lads had florescent green socks.

I wore fluorescent orange on one foot, fluorescent green on the other...  Hmmm.  And what was that thing about wearing t-shirts on top of long-sleeved shirts?
