Well bullbars are legal. You just have to make sure your insurance knows about them. Mine cost me an extra £10 a year on my insurance.

I would be very suprised if they said no, as these were/are avaiable as a land rover provided accessory.

As Bob said, you need to tell them about the addition, and they may increase your policy.

its just that many years ago, i was sure they were banned and you had to have plastic moulded ones instead of the Steel ones ?

The E.U. want to ban them, I believe most new cars have to have plastic/ABS ones fitted.

they weren't banned as far as I know, they became type approved, since they were already that in spain (ISTR)

ISTR all new vehicles have to have the soft type ones if they are fitted as an option but aftermarket fitments can be steel tube type etc

Just browsing, lots revvommend a 5 ton winch so it sounds like the best option to do, all i have to do next is find someones who has fitted one to a New D40 Navara
