Where did it go?
I was just about to post a quick reply to say I understand where you are coming from, and hey preston no long sig post!
I dont have a picture as my avatar cos i use this on another couple of forums and it makes it easy.
Besides im not pointing fingers but there are a few people who dont own the vehicle shown in their avatar. Nothing wrong with that - but 1 I have seen is Safari Gards own truck and is in the states...

Yeah, it went the same way as some of the others... but it's disappearance did help me with tracking down the problem.

I was going to respond to something you said actually...  you mentioned that the vehicle specs in people's sigs gave you some idea of how seriously to take their advice...    problem is there are a lot of people who's advice I have a lot of respect for who run very standard vehicles, or don't make a big thing  about the mods they run..    sig specs are easy to add... and don't always count for experience.

Just a suggestion - but specs would mean more if the vehicle make/model was included esp if you have a non - photo avatar.. :)

very true , there are also many web wheelers in the world who havent got frozen fingers from changing their track rods ends last week.Let alone had a problem keeping dirt out of their arb solenoid.
No-one has all the answers and its often a matter of preference and opinion.
 If I want to know if a mod works,how hard it is to do and associated problems then the clued up guy who is great with motors or gearboxes isnt the right man to answer the question. The only person who can help is someone who has done it....all the theory and debate isnt helpful, the make sure you do this aswell or do that first is a great help.

Pretty confident I already have a cure for the problem, and that the missing posts can be recovered.

The biggest issue is establishing the exact conditions under which the threads vanish...   and that is taking a little more time
