BBC weather forecast said sunny day this morning, then a blizzard appeared at work at Keele University, closed the Uni ! In the end a severe weather warning appeared mentioning snow - we had 4 inches by then!

Yes- the snow warning appeared after the snow! Pretty dreadfull driving conditions tonight we had about 4" of snow in Rugby but only an inch or so when I got home- so I guess it was pretty localised. Most drivers were sensible though, sticking to 15-20mph so no incidents to report!
