Seeing as my 300 Tdi has started to show signs of reluctant starting in this cool weather, I'm thinking it's time to change the battery.
Anyone got any suggestion on which might be best?
What wouldl I expect to pay?

You could try David Landy who's a Mud-Club member, he does a few bits and pieces, he had some good batteries a while ago, click on here

Samson are good batteries. You could simply get a vatra trusk battery..not all of them are huge. Have you got a local LSUK anywhere near you(there is one in SHeffield) Thye carry a large stock so you can measure up and get the srongest possible.
if you are planning on running a winch or lots of lights/ accessories i would go for a deep cycle like optima yellow top. Super strong and dont go funny if you discharge them. Another advantage is that they cant spill......but they are about 150- 180 depending how lucky you get!
