What would you do?
« on: December 02, 2005, 11:43:53 »
Yesterday i bought a Wire Tow Rope on Eblag for £5.95
I sent the seller an email through Ebay saying that i would like to arrange collection!
They sent me a Paypal Invoice for Cost of item and Postage Being £12.95
I changed the Invoice to the cost of the Item ie £5.95 Only and Paid!

I also put a post up in the Bar for any of our Members to collect it for me and Old Joe Phoned Me to say he Will!

Sorted?  So i Thought?

Now just waiting For an email to say Heres my Tel Number Come and Get it?

So i could give Darren! the "Go Ahead"

Still waiting for that Email and the Door Bell Rings?
Guess Who?
Its DHL Man with a delivery?

And yes its the Tow rope!

And No i have'nt Paid the Postage?

               NOW?

Would you now Pay the Postage? Now?

Or wait untill they realise and ask you for it?

Or totally Forget about it?

Wait until they ask for it, then discuss it with them.  It's entirely their mistake.

Depends on if it was a private sale or from a company. Would tend to contact a private seller but not a company.

IMO a lot of people and companies try to make money on the Postage & Packaging on E-bay. If I spot something that's obviously too much I WILL make an issue of it (sometimes even if I have no intention of bidding!).

If the item was heavy then £12.95 might indeed be the going rate- but nothing p*ss*s me off more than people trying to rip you off on P&P.

Rant over.

Agreed sit tight and see what develops, if the company has a lot of sales on at the same time, they may well not notice it

If nothing else I would work out how much it cost em to post it to you.  Add 50p for the box and then if they do moan you can just pay em that!

Oh and if you havent already left feedback I would wait untill they leave u some.  If they intend on leaving negative they will probably wait for u to leave positive 1st.  :D
